Is plastic really the problem?

This year too, we welcomed 4th-grade students from the Barbara A. Fiorini Primary School to continue an awareness-raising journey dedicated to the new generations. To present the world of plastic materials in an engaging way, we chose language that children could
relate to: thermoplastics and thermosetting plastics were linked to cartoon characters, highlighting their characteristics and special “powers.” LEGO bricks also became protagonists of the day, helping the children think about company organization and the importance of a clear initial plan. Through simple, hands-on, and fun activities, we wanted to give children greater awareness of the world of plastic materials and of company life, moving beyond stereotypes and oversimplifications and fostering curiosity, knowledge, and critical thinking.
